Revolutionary LED Mask Skyrockets Skin Elasticity by 340% in Clinical Trials

Renowned scientists from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) have introduced a pioneering face-conforming LED mask. This revolutionary device showcased a staggering 340% improvement in deep skin elasticity, outperforming traditional LED masks in clinical trials involving 33 participants.

The cutting-edge Face-conforming Surface Lighting micro-LED (FSLED) mask overcomes a significant drawback of conventional LED devices. Traditional LED masks often fail to adapt to skin contours, leading to up to 90% light reflection. In contrast, the FSLED mask features a 3D origami design embedded with 3,770 micro-LEDs. Its flexible light-diffusion layer perfectly fits facial contours, ensuring maximum light penetration.

As noted by Professor Keon Jae Lee, this innovative mask “provides cosmetic benefits to the entire facial dermis without the side effects of low-temperature burns.” The device is currently in production by KAIST’s startup, Fronics. It is set to be globally distributed through Amorepacific’s network starting in November 2024.
