Announcing the 2025 Inductees of the National Aviation Hall of Fame
The National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) proudly unveiled its Class of 2025 inductees on October 24, 2024. This esteemed group is recognized for their groundbreaking contributions to the fields of aviation and aerospace. Their diverse achievements span across helicopter design, aviation safety advocacy, military aviation, and shattering gender barriers within the industry.
Among the notable honorees, we have:
- Frank Robinson, the founder of Robinson Helicopter Company,
- Phoebe Fairgrave Omlie, a pioneering female aviator who was the first woman to receive both an FAA mechanic’s license and transport pilot license,
- General Lloyd “Fig” Newton, the first African American pilot to fly with the Thunderbirds, and
- John Goglia, the first NTSB board member to hold an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate.
The NAHF, established by Congress, now honors over 270 individuals who have significantly shaped the course of aviation history.
