Tesla Anticipated to Announce Record Q3 Delivery Numbers
Tesla is poised to unveil its third-quarter 2025 financial results post-market close on October 22. Analysts project an earnings per share of $0.55 and revenue approximating $26.6 billion. The electric vehicle giant has already announced a record-breaking quarterly delivery of 497,099 vehicles in Q3, significantly surpassing the consensus estimate of 448,000 vehicles.
The robust delivery figures were fueled by a spike in U.S. demand as customers hurried to capitalize on the $7,500 EV tax credit before its expiration on September 30. Tesla’s stock has seen an impressive rally of about 25% since mid-September, with shares up 14% year-to-date. Furthermore, the company also deployed 12.5 GWh of energy storage capacity during the quarter, a notable increase from 9.6 GWh in Q2.
Investors will be keenly monitoring updates on Tesla’s ambitious projects such as the robotaxi program, Full Self-Driving capabilities, and the Optimus humanoid robot project. Despite the record vehicle deliveries, analysts predict a dip in earnings due to ongoing price reductions in response to heightened competition in the EV market. The earnings call is slated for 4:30 PM Central Time.
