NBAA-BACE 2024: A New Era of Aviation Innovation Unveiled in Las Vegas
The 2024 National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) concluded on October 24, 2024, in Las Vegas. This event marked an “electrifying week” that industry officials believe has ushered in the next era of aviation technology and innovation.
The convention was a platform for groundbreaking announcements. One of the highlights was FAA Administrator Michael Whitaker’s unveiling of a new regulatory framework for electric air taxis and advanced air mobility operations. The Special Federal Aviation Regulation (SFAR) was signed during the event, in the presence of CEOs from leading advanced air mobility companies.
“Business aviation is transforming with new technologies and bold ideas,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “NBAA-BACE celebrated all our industry is today and how we are shaping the future.”
The exhibition hall was a hub of innovation, with over 800 companies showcasing cutting-edge aircraft, avionics, and propulsion technologies. Sustainability was a key focus, with three Las Vegas-area airports offering sustainable aviation fuel that can reduce aircraft emissions by up to 80%.
Looking forward, the 2025 NBAA-BACE is scheduled for October 14-16, 2025. The event will return to Las Vegas, continuing its emphasis on innovation and industry advancement.
