Goa Unveils ‘Feels Like Goa’ Campaign, Pioneering Regenerative Tourism

The Indian state of Goa launched its innovative ‘Feels Like Goa’ campaign on October 11, 2025. This marks a significant shift towards regenerative tourism, moving beyond Goa’s traditional image as a beach destination. Instead, the campaign celebrates Goa’s rich cultural heritage, spiritual depth, and vibrant local communities.

Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte emphasized the campaign’s intent. He said it aims to “bring back the essence of what makes Goa truly unique: its people, culture, traditions, and soul.” The initiative repositions Goa as an emotional experience, not just a destination. It focuses on sustainable tourism practices that benefit local communities.

The ‘Feels Like Goa’ campaign aligns with new tourism infrastructure projects. These include:

  • Unity Mall
  • Porvorim Town Square
  • Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Digital Museum

Director of Tourism, Kedar Naik, stated that this represents “a strategic step towards meaningful and regenerative tourism experiences that reflect Goa’s authentic identity.”
