BeautyHealth Appoints Pedro Malha as New CEO, Setting Sights on Expansion
The Beauty Health Company (NASDAQ: SKIN), the parent company of the renowned Hydrafacial brand, has declared a significant shift in leadership, effective from October 1, 2025. Pedro Malha has been named as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, taking over from Marla Beck who has stepped down after an impactful two-year tenure.
Malha, with his extensive experience of over 20 years in the healthcare and medical device sectors, is set to bring a wealth of knowledge to his new role. His most recent position was as Worldwide Division President and Corporate Officer at Abbott Laboratories, where he spearheaded the neuromodulation business. His career history also boasts senior leadership roles at Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Abbott, and Johnson & Johnson across Europe.
This change in leadership comes at a pivotal time for BeautyHealth, as the company gears up for its next phase of growth. This follows the successful turnaround efforts led by Beck. Under her guidance, the company not only bolstered its innovation pipeline and enhanced manufacturing and quality control, but also improved margins and returned to profitability. All the while, Hydrafacial’s standing as a leading performance skin health brand remained unscathed.
“Pedro is an accomplished leader with broad industry experience at leading multinational companies in the healthcare and medical device sectors,” said Brent Saunders, Chairman of the Board.
In the past six months, the company’s stock has seen a 49% increase, reflecting investor confidence in the brand’s growth trajectory.
