Introducing Skylar: Skyryse’s AI Flight Assistant Transforming Aviation Safety
Aviation technology innovator, Skyryse, has unveiled Skylar, a pioneering artificial intelligence flight assistant. This revolutionary system is set to transform aircraft communication, navigation, and operations. Seamlessly integrating with the company’s universal operating system, SkyOS, Skylar provides unwavering support throughout all flight phases.
Skylar’s capabilities extend to automatically listening to and interpreting air traffic control communications. It transcribes these communications in real-time and suggests appropriate responses. This eliminates the need for pilots to manually tune radios, as they can simply confirm commands and let the aircraft respond through autoflight functions.
Beyond communication, Skylar also enhances flight safety and efficiency by:
- Monitoring traffic through ADS-B
- Building optimized flight plans
- Automating checklists
- Calculating fuel burn based on weather conditions
Mark Groden, Skyryse CEO, proudly announced, “We’re bringing aviation into the 21st century. For years, we’ve used AI to talk to our houses, to our cars, and now, we’ll use it to talk to our aircraft.” Skylar is designed to address communication breakdowns, a factor the FAA estimates contributes to up to 80% of aviation incidents.
Skylar will be showcased by Skyryse at the NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, running from October 14-16, 2025.
