Las Vegas Unveils ‘Fabulous 5-Day Sale’ to Revive Tourism
In a bid to combat a significant slump in tourism, Las Vegas officials have launched the ‘Fabulous 5-Day Sale’, running until Friday. This unprecedented campaign offers discounts of up to 50% on hotels, waived resort fees, and $99 spa treatments, aiming to boost visitor numbers.
The sale features over 100 exclusive deals across the city’s major resorts. The Venetian Resort is offering 33% off suites, complete with $50 cocktail credits and $300 in dining discounts. Meanwhile, Treasure Island is advertising deluxe rooms starting at just $99 per night.
Las Vegas has been grappling with declining visitor numbers. Convention attendance in June dropped 10.7% compared to 2024. Key metrics also show a 2.3% decrease in room inventory, a 6.6% decline in average daily rates, and a 13.8% fall in revenue per available room.
High costs have been identified as a major deterrent for tourists. Travelers have reported paying $20 for two coffees, $30 for single cocktails, and $50 for early hotel check-in fees.
In response, tourism authorities and major hospitality brands have coordinated a city-wide sales blitz. This encompasses luxury resorts, entertainment venues, restaurants, and spas. The aim is to reposition Las Vegas as an affordable, world-class destination and generate renewed interest among both leisure travelers and locals.
