Anthropic Set to Triple Global Workforce in Major AI Expansion
AI startup Anthropic has announced ambitious plans to triple its international workforce and expand its applied AI team fivefold by 2025. This move comes in response to the surging global demand for its innovative Claude AI models.
The company has revealed that a staggering 80% of Claude usage now originates from outside the United States. Countries such as South Korea, Australia, and Singapore are showing higher per-person adoption rates than America.
Backed by tech giants like Google and Amazon, the San Francisco-based company, valued at a whopping $183 billion, has plans to hire over 100 new employees across Dublin, London, and Zurich. In addition, it will be opening its first Asian office in Tokyo.
The expansion is spearheaded by the new Managing Director of International, Chris Ciauri, formerly of Google Cloud and Salesforce.
Anthropic’s rapid growth has been largely driven by Claude’s superior coding capabilities. This has helped grow its business customer base from under 1,000 to over 300,000 in just two years. The company’s revenue run-rate made a significant leap from $1 billion at the start of 2025 to more than $5 billion by August, making it one of the fastest-growing tech companies in history.
