Introducing iPhone Air: Apple’s Thinnest Device Yet at a Mere 5.6mm

Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone Air, heralding the most significant design overhaul in its smartphone range in years. With a thickness of just 5.6mm and a weight of a mere 165 grams, the iPhone Air takes the crown as Apple’s thinnest device ever, even outdoing the previous record-holder, the iPhone 6, at 6.9mm.

The groundbreaking device boasts a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits and ProMotion up to 120Hz. Despite its ultra-slim profile, the iPhone Air doesn’t compromise on performance. It is powered by the robust A19 Pro chip and features a sophisticated 48MP Fusion camera system that effectively puts four lenses in users’ pockets.

Apple has achieved this innovative design by using a Grade 5 titanium frame constructed with 80% recycled titanium. This ensures durability while maintaining the incredibly thin form factor. The device also incorporates innovative internal design elements that optimize performance and create space for a high-density battery, promising all-day battery life.

The iPhone Air will be available for pre-order starting September 12, 2025, with general availability commencing September 19, 2025. The pricing begins at $999 for the 256GB model, positioning it as a premium alternative to traditional iPhone models.
