Unprecedented Growth in Business Jet Deliveries: An 11% Surge Predicted for 2025

The business aviation industry is currently witnessing an unprecedented growth. Forecasts from Cirium and Honeywell project new aircraft deliveries to climb 11-12% in 2025. This surge is a reflection of the robust demand across all segments, with business jets taking the lead. In the first half of 2025 alone, there has been a 9.9% increase, resulting in 354 aircraft delivered.

At the recent iQ Global Business Aviation Summit, JetNet revised its long-range forecast upwards. The company now expects 9,700 business jet deliveries through 2034, valued at a staggering $335 billion. This represents a 12% increase from previous projections. The current OEM backlog stands at approximately $55 billion, representing roughly two years of production at current output rates.

Industry analysts report that “2025 is shaping up to be a strong year for business aviation.” Exciting new models are on the horizon, such as Bombardier’s Global 8000. This jet is set to be the fastest civilian aircraft since Concorde and is scheduled to debut this year. Corporate buyers are returning in force, with VistaJet reporting a tripling of corporate RFPs in late 2024. Supply chains have improved but remain tight in critical areas like engines and interiors. However, most indicators point to continued momentum through 2025 and beyond.
