Hailey Bieber’s Skincare Brand Rhode Sets New Record with $15M First-Week Sales at Sephora
Hailey Bieber’s skincare brand Rhode has made a remarkable entry into the retail history books by generating an astounding $15 million in first-week sales at Sephora North America. This impressive feat surpasses the launch figures of both Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty and Rihanna’s Fenty. The brand, which made its debut online and in all Sephora stores across the US and Canada on September 4, has now become the record-holder for the biggest brand launch in Sephora’s history.
As per the data provided by YipitData, Rhode exceeded $10 million in retail sales during just its first two days at Sephora. The brand accounted for more than 35 percent of Sephora North America’s online sales on the launch day. The data further reveals that Rhode surpassed the previous record-holder by 2.5 times, with an average of three Rhode items selling per second during peak hours.
The phenomenal success of Rhode comes in the wake of E.l.f. Beauty’s $1 billion acquisition of the brand earlier this year. An insider at Sephora revealed that “Rhode’s sucking all the oxygen out of the room for every other brand,” emphasizing the unprecedented impact of the celebrity-backed skincare line on the beauty retail landscape.
