WTTC Appoints Gloria Guevara as Acting CEO Ahead of Rome Global Summit
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced a significant change in its leadership. Gloria Guevara is set to return as the interim President & CEO, stepping in for Julia Simpson who is unable to attend the upcoming Global Summit in Rome due to illness.
Guevara, who has previously served as WTTC’s President & CEO, will now spearhead the organization through its 25th Global Summit. The event is scheduled to take place from September 28 to 30, 2025.
This leadership transition comes at a pivotal time as the travel industry gears up for one of its most important annual gatherings. Greg O’Hara, the WTTC Chair, has expressed his full confidence in Guevara’s ability to ensure the summit’s success. He also conveyed his best wishes to Simpson for a swift recovery.
