Meta Introduces Revolutionary $799 Ray-Ban Display Glasses, Complete with Neural Wristband
Meta has officially launched the Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses at Connect 2025, marking the company’s first consumer-ready smart glasses with a built-in display. Priced at $799, these groundbreaking glasses feature a small digital display in the right lens that shows apps, alerts, and directions, controlled by the innovative Meta Neural Band wristband.
The Neural Band uses electromyography (EMG) technology to detect subtle hand gestures and muscle signals, allowing users to navigate apps, respond to messages, and control volume with barely perceptible hand movements. CEO Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated typing at 30 words per minute using only hand gestures during the live presentation.
Key Features
- High-resolution color display positioned off to the side to avoid obstructing vision
- 18-hour battery life for the Neural Band with IPX7 water resistance
- Integration with Meta AI, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook
- Real-time translations and live captions
- Music playback controls with gesture-based volume adjustment
The glasses launch September 30 at select US retailers including Best Buy, LensCrafters, and Ray-Ban Stores, with international expansion to Canada, France, Italy, and the UK planned for early 2026.
