Introducing the Ultra-Thin iPhone 17 Air: Apple’s Thinnest iPhone Yet

Apple has just unveiled the iPhone 17 Air, a revolutionary device that stands as the thinnest iPhone ever created. Measuring a mere 5.6 millimeters in thickness, the iPhone 17 Air is approximately one-third slimmer than current iPhone models. This device represents Apple’s most daring design departure since the iPhone X, boasting a breakthrough titanium construction that delivers pro-level performance.

Replacing the Plus model in Apple’s lineup, the iPhone Air comes equipped with:

  • A 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120Hz
  • An A19 Pro chip, optimized for the ultra-thin form factor
  • A 48MP Fusion camera system that utilizes computational photography
  • Ceramic Shield 2, providing 3x better scratch resistance
  • An all-day battery life, despite its slim profile

“The all-new iPhone Air is so powerful, yet impossibly thin and light, that you really have to hold it to believe it’s real,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. The device achieves its remarkable thinness through innovative internal architecture and specialized thermal management.

The iPhone Air is available in Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Sky Blue. Starting at $999, pre-orders begin on September 12, with availability starting September 19. This device is seen as a potential stepping stone toward Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, expected in 2026.
