Unveiling of Louis Vuitton’s Luxury Beauty Collection at Seoul Pop-Up
On September 1, 2025, Louis Vuitton made a grand entrance into the world of cosmetics with the launch of “La Beauté Louis Vuitton” at a three-story pop-up store in Seoul’s posh Gangnam district. This marks the French luxury house’s first foray into beauty in its over 170-year history.
The collection, under the creative leadership of famed makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, boasts of 55 lipsticks, 10 lip balms, and 8 eyeshadow palettes. Each product is a testament to the brand’s commitment to luxury, with lipsticks priced at $170 each and eyeshadow palettes at $270.
The products are not just about the price tag. They feature indulgent formulations that include shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and upcycled waxes from rose, jasmine, and mimosa. The entire range is scented by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, adding another layer of opulence.
Seoul was not a random choice for the global debut. The city, along with New York’s SoHo, was strategically chosen to leverage Korea’s significant influence in the global beauty market. The pop-up store offers immersive experiences such as:
- Virtual try-on zones
- Makeup stations
- A collaboration with local dessert brand Notre-Dame, featuring lipstick-inspired treats
