EAA Unveils Young Eagles Connect Portal for Budding Pilots

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has unveiled the Young Eagles Connect portal, a state-of-the-art digital platform fashioned to offer enhanced mentorship support to young, aspiring pilots throughout their flight training journey. The portal bridges the gap between Young Eagles program graduates who have successfully completed Sporty’s Learn To Fly course and seasoned mentors ready to provide guidance and encouragement.

This innovative system empowers Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) to seamlessly track their mentees’ coursework and practice test results. Meanwhile, non-CFI mentors can request access to monitor progress. David Leiting, EAA Young Eagles program manager, emphasized the portal’s mission to help aspiring aviators “stay connected, stay inspired, and stay on course.”

This initiative is a significant extension of the Young Eagles program, which has proudly provided over 2.5 million free introductory flights to young enthusiasts since its inception in 1992.
