A Bold Vision for Sustainable Growth: Grenada Tourism Authority’s New Strategy

The newly appointed leadership team of Grenada’s tourism sector, spearheaded by CEO Stacey Liburd since June 2025, has recently revealed their strategic blueprint for sustainable tourism growth. The Grenada Tourism Authority is committed to promoting the unique tri-island experience of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique, while simultaneously diversifying markets and cultivating specialized niches such as medical and agro-tourism.

Their innovative strategy is centered on attracting discerning travelers through authenticity, improved airlift, expanded hotel capacity, and enhanced digital marketing. The key initiatives for the future include:

  • Developing the meetings and incentives sector for 2026
  • Exploring luxury travel opportunities through recent acceptance into the Virtuoso consortium
  • Strengthening the yachting and private jet markets

Chairman Randall Dolland emphasized the pivotal role of tourism as Grenada’s leading GDP contributor. The ultimate goal is to position tourism as the driving force of economic development. The authority is integrating sustainability at every level, from microgrids to voluntourism programs, ensuring visitors contribute as much to the islands as they take away.
