Malaysia Airlines Boosts India Network with Daily Flights

Malaysia Airlines has unveiled a significant expansion to its South India network. The airline is set to increase its Trivandrum–Kuala Lumpur service to daily flights, effective from December 1, 2025. This strategic move is a response to the sustained demand since the route’s inauguration in November 2023.

Initially, the airline will introduce a fifth weekly service starting September 12, 2025, before transitioning to daily operations. This expansion is a testament to the strengthening partnership between Malaysia Airlines and Kerala Tourism under the “Look East” initiative. This initiative was launched in Trivandrum to bolster travel connections between East Asia and Kerala.

“India remains a key focus market for Malaysia Airlines, and this frequency increase reaffirms our dedication to meeting the growing demand for air travel from South India,” said Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines at Malaysia Aviation Group.

The enhanced service aims to provide greater flexibility and convenience for both business and leisure travelers. It also supports the increase of trade and tourism flows between Malaysia and India. This expansion is a reflection of the airline’s commitment to fortifying its presence in the South Asian market.
