APR Corp: A New Titan in Korean Beauty, Valued at $4B Thanks to TikTok Triumph
APR Corp, a South Korean beauty-tech giant, has reached a significant milestone. Its stock has skyrocketed by 200% this year, pushing the market value beyond $4 billion. This surge has crowned the 36-year-old founder, Kim Byung Hoon, as South Korea’s latest beauty billionaire.
The success of APR is largely attributed to viral TikTok content. Celebrities like Kylie Jenner have been seen using the company’s Booster Pro skincare device. The Medicube brand, under APR, sold a staggering 1.5 million Booster Pro units last year. In Q1 2025 alone, an additional 500,000 units were sold – that’s equivalent to one device being sold every 13 seconds.
The company’s second-quarter operating profit more than tripled to 84.55 billion won. Overseas markets accounted for a whopping 78% of total sales. The U.S. market alone contributes 29% of revenue, underscoring APR’s successful global expansion beyond the traditional China-focused K-beauty strategies.
