Travel Disruption Alerts Issued by Major Airlines for Northeast US

Several leading airlines, including KLM and Delta, have issued travel disruption alerts. The cause of these disruptions is the anticipated severe weather in the Northeastern United States.

KLM has announced potential disruptions to flights to, from, or via the following airports:

  • BWI
  • EWR
  • JFK
  • LGA
  • PHL
  • IAD
  • DCA
  • HPN

The disruptions are due to the prevailing weather conditions. KLM is offering flexible rebooking options for passengers with tickets originally issued on or before July 30, 2025. Passengers can change their travel dates for free, provided the same travel class is available.

Delta has also implemented similar measures. They are advising passengers to plan to arrive 3.5 hours prior to their scheduled departure time at Brussels Airport (BRU) due to security checkpoint delays.

The FAA Daily Air Traffic Report has issued a warning that low clouds could slow flights in the following cities:

  • Boston
  • Philadelphia
  • Washington D.C.
  • San Francisco
  • San Diego

Additionally, thunderstorms could affect travel in Memphis and Dallas. Wind conditions are expected to impact New York area airports (JFK, LGA, EWR) and Las Vegas.
