CubCrafters Introduces XCub and NXCub Experimental Kits at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025
CubCrafters made a landmark announcement at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025, revealing that their highly sought-after XCub and NXCub aircraft are now available as experimental amateur-built (E-AB) kits. This announcement signifies 15 years of refinement and field experience now accessible to homebuilders.
“The introduction of the XCub and NXCub in kit form marks a significant milestone for both our company and the homebuilding community,” stated Patrick Horgan, president of CubCrafters. The kits come with interchangeable tailwheel (XCub) or tricycle gear (NXCub) configurations and a choice of engines, including the Lycoming O-360 (180 hp) or CC393i (215 hp).
The aircraft kits boast impressive performance specifications:
- A useful load of over 1,000 pounds
- Cruise speeds of 150 mph
- Stall speed of 39 mph
- A range of 800 miles
Additionally, the kits provide comprehensive builder support, complete with digital manuals and video guidance.
