EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025 officially kicked off on July 21st, with a record-breaking number of exhibition spaces sold out. Organizers anticipate surpassing the 2024 attendance record of 686,000 visitors hailing from 94 different countries. The 72nd edition of “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration” is set to run until July 27th at the Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The event boasts more than 860 sold-out exhibition spaces, a testament to the continued growth and global appeal of the world’s largest aviation gathering. The theme for this year, “One Week: Endless Possibilities”, encapsulates a diverse range of programming that covers aviation history, state-of-the-art technology, and space exploration.

Some of the special attractions for 2025 include:

  • Two Goodyear blimps marking the 100th anniversary of Goodyear’s blimp operations—one in regular livery and another featuring retro 1925 “Pilgrim” markings.
  • A grand 90th anniversary celebration led by the Douglas DC-3 Society, featuring multiple DC-3 and C-47 aircraft participating in formation flights and D-Day tribute segments.

“Whether you’re a history buff or a technology enthusiast, you’ll find something to love here,” said Dick Knapinski, EAA’s director of communications, highlighting the event’s wide-ranging appeal to all aviation enthusiasts and age groups.
