Emirates Reinstates Damascus Flights After a Decade

Emirates has achieved a significant milestone by resuming passenger flights to Damascus, reestablishing direct service between Dubai and the Syrian capital for the first time in over a decade. The airline has initiated the route thrice a week, utilizing a Boeing 777-200LR, equipped with 38 business class and 264 economy seats.

Service frequency is set to increase to four flights per week from August 2, and daily operations are scheduled to commence from October 26. “Today is a significant day as we celebrate the return of Emirates to Damascus,” expressed Adil Al Ghaith, Emirates’ senior vice president of commercial operations. “By providing our services and connecting Damascus to the world, we are aiding in reuniting families, friends, and communities who have eagerly awaited easier access to their loved ones.”

This development signifies a major shift in Middle East aviation connectivity and unveils new opportunities for both business and leisure travelers seeking direct access to Syria’s capital city.
