Google has recently announced significant milestones and updates for its Gemini AI platform. The company revealed that the Gemini app now boasts over 400 million monthly active users. These developments were shared as part of Google’s comprehensive AI strategy rollout.

The company has introduced several major AI enhancements. Among these is Gemini 2.5 Pro, which now leads the WebDev Arena and LMArena leaderboards as the world’s top-performing model. Google has integrated LearnLM directly into Gemini 2.5, establishing it as the world’s leading model for educational applications.

Among the new features is AI Mode, which is rolling out across Search in the U.S. This feature offers users the ability to ask complex, multi-part questions. Deep Research capabilities are being integrated into AI Mode through Labs, providing more thorough responses to user queries.

Google also launched Agent Mode, an experimental feature where users can describe their end goal and Gemini can complete tasks autonomously. This feature will be available to Google AI Ultra subscribers soon. In addition, the company introduced Gemma 3n, a fast and efficient open multimodal model designed to run on phones, laptops, and tablets, handling audio, text, image, and video content.
