ATP Flight School Broadens Its Reach to Ohio with Two Additional Training Centers
ATP Flight School recently announced a significant expansion in Ohio, with the inauguration of two new training centers in Columbus and Akron-Canton. These centers join the existing facility in Cincinnati, further strengthening ATP’s presence in the state.
The new facilities, located at Ohio State University Airport (OSU) and Akron-Canton Regional Airport (CAK), will offer the Airline Career Pilot Program. This program is designed to take students from zero experience to becoming airline pilots in just two and a half years.
Michael Arnold, ATP’s Vice President of Marketing, emphasized the critical timing of this expansion. He stated, “With industry forecasts projecting a shortfall of over 28,000 pilots by 2030, pilots starting training today with ATP will position themselves ahead of the demand.”
The school, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024, maintains partnerships with 39 airlines. It is the only flight school partnered with all three legacy airlines.
The expansion brings ATP’s nationwide network to 83 training centers, featuring a fleet of 614 professionally maintained aircraft. The company invests more in new aircraft annually than most schools have in their entire fleet. This emphasizes their commitment to safety infrastructure, which includes real-time flight monitoring and dedicated safety teams.
